S800 Blue Line

Sabine Meyer-Wehle was in charge of the concept and design of the S800 reeds. Together with the Steuer company, this model was developed from scratch. The aim was to produce a Bb clarinet reed (German system) with a full sound across all octaves for medium-length and medium-open mouthpieces.

The S800 reeds have a thick shaft end and strong curvature and are characterized by a comfortable response.

The reeds are selected according to the strictest criteria and ensure high sound quality.

Steuer reeds used to be manufactured near Freiburg/Breisgau. However the company has now relocated to the south of France, close to where they source their cane.
